First published in 1893; edited by Peter Corris who begins his introduction, 'From the 1880s until the second decade of this century the islands of the western Pacific ocean acted as a vast labour pool for European enterprise in Queensland, Fiji, Samoa and New Caledonia.' Inscribed by Peter Corris in 1973 and again, to a different person, in 1987.
