Thirty-two short non-fiction pieces, written between 1958 and 1988, edited by Christine Flynn and Paul Brennan; annotated by Patrick White on the title page and with the ownership signature of poet and novelist David Malouf, who wrote the libretto for the opera of 'Voss', widely considered the greatest of all Australian operas, first performed in 1986 in Adelaide, followed by a long-anticipated return to the stage in 2022.
