Pilgrimage

Four volumes. The twelve novels of Pilgrimage - as it was in 1938, March Moonlight was added when it was republished in the late 1960s - in four vols. and which follow the life of Miriam Henderson over eighteen years using the stream of consciousness ('the shroud of consciousness', according to the author in 1949), technique for the first time in a novel written in English. The twelve novels were first published individually between 1915 and 1935.
