Not a bad title for the author’s collected works; this one contains
Talatala and The Breton Sisters, the former set in the Belgian Congo, the latter Concarneau, a fishing port on the north of the Bay of Biscay and, over his entire career, I’d put as Simenon’s default setting; checklist of titles by Simenon in the United States to date and already dividing them into his police procedurals and "roman durs".
